Oczywiście, że się powinno, i tak w sumie robi większość wiki. Niestety niektórzy administratorzy, mimo że znają się na kwestiach technicznych, kompletnie nie ogarnęli najprostszych przestrzeni, jakimi są kategorie.
Heya :) I've rejected MediaWiki:TimeCircles.js largely on the basis that the code is in parts semantically confusing. At line 146 (and for that matter 147), there's a line break that I think some readers might interpret as the end of an expression, when it's not. More seriously, the function at line 654 has a very confusing scope to it. The function is within a loop but referencing an outer scope, so what exactly it means is more difficult to grasp than necessary. And there are — I dunno — more than a dozen cases where a variable has already been defined in the code, but then defined again very much further on — making it hard to parse.
Moreover, a lot of the code is potentially confusing because it was written a very long time ago. That is, it's written to accommodate IE 8 and below, which we at FANDOM don't even support. As we learn from the address given in the code, the point of the chunk between lines 20 and 60 is to support older browsers. The chart at the bottom of the page speaks of compatibility with Safari 5 (we're on 11.1) and Firefox 4 — which isn't even the numbering system they use any more. So older means ... older. I mean, sure, it's okay to support the past a bit. But when there are significant lines of code supporting a long, long time ago, it becomes confusing.
Finally, I'm not sure it'll actually work. Of course, functionality is not really a part of the JS Review process. So consider this merely friendly advice.
I was unsuccessful at trying to make it work in Test Mode. If you look at this test — while entering Test Mode — you can see that the <button> tag does nothing. (Actually, I guess you can see that here, since I haven't added <nowiki> to the <button> tag.)
I copy-pasted examples over from the latest (2014) documentation. None of them produced anything in Test Mode. And I think that's because you need to be able to inject some <script> declarations — something you can't do without verbatim tags. We don't offer that tag anymore, so, ultimately, I don't think you'll be able to make this code work "as is" on FANDOM — even if you were able to address the concerns about confusion in the code.
But, again, I'm not rejecting it because I can't get it to work. I just think that it was written in 2013-14 and is unnecessarily confusing by today's standards.
Well, I still think the code is confusing — and everything the documentation promises it should do, it can't do — but it doesn't appear to be actually dangerous. And enough of it works to suit your needs on this wiki. So I've approved it.
I hope you'll consider maybe working with Mustafar29 to simplify the code and get rid of stuff that's only there to make it compatible with old browsers. I also think you should strip those portions that really don't and can't work on FANDOM, like the code that supports the <button> tag.
Jeśli potrzebujesz, abyśmy wysłali go ponownie, kliknij tutaj. Jeśli chcesz zmienić adres e-mail, przejdź do strony z preferencjami. " i nie umiem go trwale wyłączyć.
Pozostała jeszcze forma "Postaci" w menu głównym po rozwinięciu "UNIWESUM". Można by to zmienić, bo w oczy razi.
Dodatkowo wypadało by zaktualizować "POZOSTTAŁE PRODUKCJE"->"Seriale" (brakuje "inhumans" i "Runaways")
Angielska MCU Wiki wstawia jeden szablon do organizacji i grup. ;-) Pozdrawiam.
I hope you don't mind that I am contacting you in English, but I am interested to know: why did you close Wątek:3421? We sometimes get concerned when we see that kind of thread being closed - can you give me any background information? Thanks!
Michalbr10 is a specific person. But before he adopted this wiki, there weren't any active users here. Today their number is getting bigger and bigger, but most of them have edited few pages only, and the changes they made didn't… change anything :P
Michalbr has a lot of enemies, he met most of them on a Discord server, so this metter is not connected to FANDOM at all. These "enemies", if I can call them so, came here only to take his rights. All they want isn't this wiki – believe me, if Michalbr had to go, MCU would "die" as it did before the adoption.
But since these "enemies" edit (it's not important how much and how often, now), they're able to start this topic and vote. Michalbr must have felt afraid that it would be possible for him to gave up his sysop rights because of the bad will of some users that are not interesed in what will happen to the wiki but to himself. This is the truth. Although I don't think it was a good turn to close that thread, I'm still trying to understand him. I also wouldn't like to lose my rights (cause such users) and watch my wiki falling.
Hope that I explained it to you. IMO Michalbr should stay here as an admin as long as he doesn't do anything wrong. Sorry if you haven't understood something I wrote, just write me, then.
The circumstances are a bit unusual. Nevertheless, I think that users should be able to voice their opinion in that matter without any repercussions from side of wiki administrators. The wiki is not a personal belonging.
Mentioned thread could be used as a debate place, thus providing administration with constructive criticism, which they could use to improve.
As long as it did not personally attack anyone, I don't think it can be called harmful in any way.
We are not okay with blackmail ... but I also know that you have been reported for trying to use blackmail in the past.
I would like to reopen the thread to allow the community to discuss this issue. If you are supported by the active community, we will take no action - but we think the community should be able to discuss Arek's concerns.
